55 Eglinton Avenue East is a high-rise redevelopment project replacing an existing eight-storey office building. Designed by Kirkor Architects, the structure consists of a 51-storey tower positioned atop a four- to five-storey podium.
The architecture employs a palette of glass, concrete, and copper. These materials are arranged to create a wave-like aesthetic across the height of the building. Orange accents frame the street-level entrance and the roofline.
The podium levels are designed to interface with the streetscape of Eglinton Avenue East. The project adds high-density residential capacity to the Midtown Toronto skyline.
The building will house 461 units within its 51-storey configuration. Specific suite dimensions and floor plans are currently unavailable.
The average price per square foot has not been publicly disclosed for this pre-construction phase.
The South Eglinton-Davisville area is a transit-oriented neighbourhood in Midtown Toronto. It is characterised by high-rise development and walkable access to services.
Residents have access to the commercial activity of the Yonge and Eglinton corridor. The proximity to both the subway and the upcoming LRT provides connectivity to the rest of the city.
State Building Group is the developer for this project, having managed the site planning since 2014. The project is a collaboration with Forest Hill Homes. Both firms have experience in the Greater Toronto Area residential market.
