Overview of The Well

The Well is a 7.7-acre mixed-use development located on the former site of The Globe and Mail's printing facility. Tridel integrated residential living into a seven-tower complex that includes retail, commercial, and office spaces, such as the 38-storey 8 Spadina Avenue tower.

Wallman Architects designed the residential portion to reflect the industrial history of King West. The exterior features a masonry base transitioning into white precast concrete panels, incorporating 1950s reclaimed Douglas fir beams and terracotta.

The infrastructure includes an 80-foot-diameter underground "well" for a deep lake water cooling system. This system utilises Lake Ontario water to provide temperature regulation for the entire complex.

Suite Sizes & Value

Floor plans at The Well start at 509 square feet. The Signature Series offers layouts reaching 3,259 square feet, featuring expansive terraces and high-specification finishes.

The Average Price: $1,302 / sq. ft. reflects the project's position in the Waterfront Communities C1 district. Valuation is driven by the integration of three million square feet of workspace and retail within the residential site.
