Architect Bruce Kuwabara of KPMB Architects designed this distinctive building as a composition of an 8-storey limestone and glass podium topped with a tower. The development was built on the site of the former John Lyle Design Studio. The original Georgian facade of Lyle's studio was preserved and re-erected in the Gardens Court. The remainder of the building is clad in limestone and glass to complement the surrounding Annex architecture while providing contemporary scale and density.
